In the ongoing saga of the recalled pistachios, it appears that Kraft may not have been as forthcoming as originally thought. In this AP article posted at NPR.org, it now seems that Kraft originally found tainted pistachios in a snack mix back in September 2008, but, did not alert Setton Farms until last week.

So, what did Kraft do with this batch of snack mix products back in September 2008? And why did they wait until last week to alert Setton Farms? This certainly does not exonerate Setton Farms, but, it all seems very underhanded, and very much at the expense of the public’s health.
